Long time no post again but so much has happened since my last post!

I was picked as a Miss for Creative Victorian Designs in Sept. This was working as a part time Creative Team member. BUT......Netta asked me to be a permanent part of the team in November! I am now a Lady! WOOHOO!

Her designs are awesome and can be used in so many different ways! If you have not heard of Creative Victorian Designs, you really need to check it out!

Where has the time gone? So much has happened in the past year! My oldest son graduated. My youngest son is now a senior! OMGosh! Am I getting old or what?

My designing days are over...for now. ScrapCloud has closed its doors. Life, job and health have gotten in my way of dedicating time for designing. I had even given up designing layouts for a while!

I have some great news that has given me a kick start on doing layouts again! That will be a new post. I don't want depressing news mixed with good news!

Yeah for me, but not so good for some of you, sorry to say. I am removing my free kits as of today. They will be up for sale at ScrapCloud soon!

Right now I am working on a teen boy kit. My lil men have so many photos that I dont know how to scrap because they are not the baby blue type of boys if you know what I mean! *L* So I am trying to come up with something that will fit into their styles with their help! They are so excited for me to be designing and they have lots of ideas for me to try! This may be a good thing because I may finally get them to learn photoshop!

A new job!

I start a new job today! Yeah for me! After a year of searching and waiting, I finally have an office job with daylight hours and air conditioning! No more long hot nights! And I get to use the knowledge I learned from my college education!

I also was accepted to the ScrapCloud Creative Team! I get to work with some really great designers and show off their work! I am so excited to share the growth of this new site! Come check it out!

A night off..........

And I was so tired I slept all night! The problem is...I need to sleep today for work tonite! The company I work for are run by Mennonites and we have Ascension day off. This is a good thing, but with it being Memorial Day weekend, it kinda messes my days and nights up! We had off last night, work tonite and then have 3 days off! My butt will be dragging before 7 am tomorrow morning! *L*

But 3 days off! Yeah! I can get ink and get prom layouts printed, I can finish the 2 kits I am working on and hopefully share them here!

I have been blog hopping so much lately! And I have neglected my poor blog!

Work has been crazy lately! With spring approaching, we are looking at tons of overtime work. Very stressful and long days. But its all good I guess. I need the money to pay for a tux for the prom! *L*

Prom........*sigh* My oldest baby is growing up. I have come to terms with it. I met the prom date yesterday. Beautiful young lady from a family I have known all my life. Johnnie says they are just going to the prom as friends, but I wouldnt be disappointed if he brought her home as his girlfriend. Yes, there I said it! My baby is old enough to have a girlfriend! But he swears they are just friends!

He wanted her to have white sweetheart roses for her wrist corsage. Nothing else would do! If he is going all out for a "friend" what is he going to be like when he gets serious??? To know I have raised a young man with this romantic side makes me feel pretty darn good!

Youth Retreat

The little men spent their weekend at the winter Youth Retreat. They had a blast like always! The highlight of the weekend was the mini concert that the counselors surprised them with. It is a new group from their high school and they do Christian Rock music. The lil men say they are pretty good too!

My oldest son was talking to them about my digital LOs and told them I would do a poster for them. So nice of him to volunteer me eh? *L* But if it will help them to promote their group, I will do it. Anything to help them out. *S*

It has been a month........

since my last post and what a month it has been! As soon as I was back to work, we started working 10-12 hour days, 6 days a week! I have been so exhausted, mentally and physically. Its a good thing my heart is healthy. But I have a screening on Tuesday for another job. I am so hoping that it is daylight work. But at least if it is third shift, it is a more controlled environment. We have been working in 110 degree heat inside the plant. They have no air system, and they dont plan on putting one in, so I can only imagine what it will be like come summer in there! It is a union job, so the overtime is limited to 10 hour days and they have to give you 24 hour notice. The job I have isnt that hard, but the hours and the heat are killing me.

What have I been working on? With the little bit of energy I have, I have been working on a kit for my friend Amy's wedding. I just hope I can have it done by wedding time! *L*

It is time to get ready for work once again. Hopefully, it wont be for much longer but Im not holding my breath.

So.........I am to write......

My week has been so hectic, confusing, frustrating, scary, but it all turned out to be just fine! No heart murmers, no heart attack, nothing! All that worry for nothing! But it has shown me that I am not as young as I used to be and I do need to start thinking more about my health! Even though my heart is healthy now, if I dont start taking better care of it, it wont stay that way! And I want to be around for my grandkids and great grandkids!

OK.....nuff of being sappy! *L*

RAKWeek has been great! This time I am here for it as last year I joined RAK the week after! I have been inspired to do some LOs after being stuck for so long.

ONe kit I just got was my prize from Ginger! I have a photo of my youngest who just loves green and I didnt have any greens that he liked. WHen I went looking for my prize, HE found the perfect one! Here Comes Trouble

My wish list......hhhmmm....there are soooooooooooo many gorgeous kits out there and my new found hobby, blog hopping, has added so many to my list!

Anything from Amy Teets! When I was on the CT at 3Scrapateers, I just loved getting Amy's kits to work with! I love her color choices and the elements she always includes! It was always easy to scrap almost any photos with her kits!

Royanna Fritschmann! Any of her kits are on my wish list too!

My biggest wish is a membership to Atomic Cupcake!

I have my new header designed but am oblivious as how to add it! I will keep working on it!

1. What colors do you use the most when you scrap?
I use a variety of colors, depending on the photos. But myself, I am partial to purples!

2. What is your favorite kit theme? (like boys, girls, heritage, special event, etc)
I love all the girlie kits, but only have one niece.

3. What are your favorite elements to use when you scrap?
Hmmm...there are so many! I love ribbons, buttons, jellies, eyelets, but most of all beads!

4. Describe your style (even if you don't think you have one!)
Thats a tough one! Sometimes bold, sometimes girlie, sometimes lite colors, but always trying something different! I like changes!

5. If you could have one kit made especially for you, what would it be for? (one lucky blogger might see this wish granted)
Teen boys! I have 2 of 'em and not enough kits for them!

My exciting weekend......

We had a paintball birthday party for my oldest sons 17th birthday. We had 6 people playing and had a blast! I have a few "reminders" of the fun. Paintball is fun, but they hurt when you get hit! *L*

I then took the lil men and their friends to the movies. We went to see Hoodwinked. It is based on Little Red Riding Hood. It sure wasnt what I was expecting! It is so funny! And the squirrel is hilarious!

TOday, we went to church so the boys could collect money for the "Souper"bowl collection for the youth group. This money goes to our local food bank.

After we came home, we just had a light lunch and I got some sleep for work tonite. Now we are watching the SuperBowl. I just loved the streaker commercial! That is a good one! *L*

I am watching the Super Bowl, scrapping and typing here! *L* I will be exhausted until its time to go to work! *L*

RAKweek @ RAKscraps!

This is what got me hooked to RAK! I arrived the week of this last year, and seeing so many exciting things happening, I just had to learn all this digiscrapping! Since then, I have been hooked!

I have come so far since that first week at RAK! I not only learned Photoshop Elements, but I have many many layouts done, many new ideas for Christmas gifts, designing my own kits and started a business! I have made so many wonderful friends! And everyone is so nice and kind, you just want to give back what they give to you! I just can't say enough about RAK! Come join us for the fun week!

I really need to post here more often! *L*

We have sooooooo much going on this weekend. My oldest son's bday is Feb 9, so we are going to have an early "paintball" party for him this weekend. If it rains like they are calling for, then we are going to play paintball the following weekend. He is inviting 3 of his friends to come play paintball with us for the day Sat. Mom is providing the paintballs and air for the guns. This is what he wanted instead of a gift! My lil man is not so little or young anymore! He will be 17!!

My youngest son has also "volunteered" me to drive him and 3 of his other 14 year old friends to the mall Sat night to see a movie. This involves a 45 min trip with 4 14 year olds, 2 boys, 2 girls. UGH!!!! What has my son gotten me into??????? We have decided that if the weather is to be bad, we will do movies at home instead of me driving that far with 3 kids that are not mine. I HATE snow and driving in it, especially with other people in my care! I hate even driving in the snow with just my 2!

So by Sunday morning, I will be black and blue from playing paintball, and bald from pulling out my hair and extremely bad nerves from dealing with that many hyper 14 year olds! And NO there will NOT be any photos of mom afterwards! *L*

Longgggggggggg night......

I am so glad my "wednesday" night is over! It sure was a long night! I had to drive over the mountain with 1" of snow last night, and then we got some freezing rain while I was at work, so
the drive home wasnt much better.

We didnt have much work last night, so it just drug on and on. I was standing at work thinking of all the things I could be doing at home, like working on some LOs or some designs! *L* I
didnt feel the greatest last night and that didnt help. I was being so clumsy because I was so tired and washed out. I have little nicks all over my hands and they hurt like the dickens this morning. But after break at 5 am this morning, I felt better about my hurts. Scott, one of the guys I work with told us a friend of his lost her arm in a piece of machinery at her job yesterday. It made my little nicks seem like I was really being a wuss! It made me thankful for the job I have, even though there are some dangers in the plant where I work, it is not as bad as what some people work with! He said he had thought about getting a job where she worked but her ordeal made him change his mind!

I may have gotten some of my co workers addicted to digital scrapping! I took my photo album in with the LOs that I printed to show them my family. Some of the women were so excited about this kind of scrapping! They were asking all kinds of questions and I directed them to RAK! *L* I told them that is where I first got the bug and there is so much help available there. And of course I offered to help them personally if they were interested! Even some of the guys I work with were asking questions. They couldnt believe how real the elements looked. One of them kept trying to "touch" the buckles and ribbons! *L* He said it just looks like you should be able to feel them there! *L*

Well, I am off to try to get some sleep.

Sunday night at work was pretty bad. I was up at 7 am Sunday morning, and did not get any sleep at all before going to work at 11 pm. As the night wore on, I was feeling even worse. At first I thought it was just being tired, but by the time 7 am Monday rolled around, I was sick! After being awake for 24 hours, I crashed, but when I got up at 4:30 pm Monday, I was so sick in the stomach. I HATE being sick!

I just chilled out all evening Monday, but was not feeling any better. I sure did not want to break my status at work by taking a day off, but after much consideration, I took last night off. I was in bed by 11:15 and slept until 6 this morning. I am feeling a little bit better now so hopefully I will make it to work tonite. I will be trying to take a nap this afternoon, but that depends on our weather! It looks like the not so lil men will be off school today because of the bad weather headed our way. Even if they do go to school, they more than likely will be sent home early. So we will see.

But for now...........I am wide awake and ready to go! So just maybe I can work on some designs, get some phone calls made and scrap some of those many many photos of my neice and nephew!

With my recent job change, I barely have time to keep up with my Internet friends, and yet here I am starting a blog??? Well, this way my friends can keep up with me when I can't contact everyone.

I am now working night shift at a local company that builds cabinet doors. Yes, you heard me right. I build cabinet doors! Actually, the work is not hard but it is fast paced. But that is a good thing when you work 11-7. The movement keeps you awake! *L* I work with a good bunch of people and the job I do, I have 2 great girls to work with! They are so much fun, love to joke around like me and we hit it off the very first night! It makes the job much more interesting and fun!

I am working on my Digitally Designed business in my spare time, which is very little lately. I really need to work on some designs for Valentine's Day. That is coming up too quickly! I have 2 kits started so far, but no individual candy wrappers made yet. *sigh* Too little time!

Thanks to Ginger and her sketch challenge at her blog, R U Square?, I got a LO done of my baby nephew, Arye! My first attempt at a rectangle LO and I think it turned out pretty good! You can see it here!
